  i admit it, i made fun of the mormons along with the rest of the jws.

  we always though it was really funny that they were following the instructions in "the book of the mormons" which is the 2nd verse of the new testament given to their 16 y/o prophet by god and jesus christ.

  imagine that any religion could place any co-called "holy book" on the same plane as the bible!

  The JW's have not, by far, cornered the market in churning out X's left with a bitter taste in their mouths. There are X-Amish; X-Mormon; X-COC; X-COG; X-Moonies; etc. Each site is similar to this one, but I think this one is the best at being what it does best: "X". Guess they should call us the "true" X-Generation!

  John Denver v Jay Leno

  i 've heard snippets of this absurd urban myth about jay leno asking j denver to leave his show because he hated jw's.

  but why on earth on a prime time slot would j leno start asking j denver about jw's?

  and i don't think j leno is a particularly spiritual guy or wt supporter is he?

  I also heard the rumors, too, in the early 1970's, because I remember thinking it odd that John Denver's Dad would go play golf with JW's. I babysat for a brother in our congregation, and he would play golf with John Denver's Dad on Saturdays. I remembered wondering if John Denver hated his Dad for playing golf with Witnesses.

  i think it's a deserving act of love to make the sacrifice to rejoin a cult in order to stay connected to your family.

  it's putting your love of your family over so so many things.

  what could we call it so we could easily understand someone's actions who also does this?

  2 Elders steal 6 million dollars

  the missoulia montana paper of 12/30/02 carried the following news report.. two jehovahs witness elders, dale a. erickson and darryl k willis pleaded no contest to charges of fraud, amounting to 6 million dollar theft from an aged lady, una anderson.. it is the biggest single theft case in the history of montana, according to the prosecutors.

  this theft occured over a seven year period.

  Directv High Speed Internet

  i am considering to get directv high speed internet.

  i do have high speed internet with another company, but directv has been offering me pretty good deals, so if you have directv high speed internet, i would like to hear from you and tell me how you like it, etc.....thank you!

  Reliability: Pretty good except when it's raining, or really windy.

  Customer Service: Terrible.

  Price: Expensive -- but when you live in the country you don't have many alternatives except dial-up.

  Maintenance: Takes awhile to get repairs done, and for someone knowledgable to do them.
